Everything AIRec can do
Every feature explained in plain language, with the place in the app where you find it.
Screen recording
Sharp, smooth video that fits your phone. Choose everything on the Home screen, or let Auto decide.
Resolution
Auto picks the best size your screen and video encoder can handle (it stops at 1080p to save battery, heat and storage). Or choose 480p, 720p, 1080p, 2K (1440p), 4K (2160p) or 2880p. Sizes above your screen are marked as scaled up.
Home → ResolutionFrame rate
Auto picks the smoothest of 60 or 30 fps that your phone supports. You can also choose 24, 30, 60, 90 or 120 fps, limited by your screen’s refresh rate and the encoder.
Home → Frame rateQuality
Four presets: Data saver, Balanced, High and Ultra. Higher quality looks better and uses more storage. The bit rate follows the resolution and frame rate.
Home → QualityVideo format
H.264 works everywhere and is the safest choice. H.265 (HEVC) makes smaller files but needs a newer player.
Settings → VideoOrientation
Auto keeps the orientation you start in. Pick Landscape for games or Portrait for app tutorials.
Settings → VideoCountdown, timer and pause
Add a countdown before recording starts, stop automatically after a set number of minutes, pause and resume at any time, and optionally stop when the screen turns off.
Settings → ControlsYour phone decides what is possible. AIRec only offers sizes and frame rates that make sense for your device.
Audio: phone sound and microphone
Record exactly the sound you want: nothing, your voice, the phone’s own sound, or both.
Audio source
Choose No audio, Microphone, Internal audio, or Internal + Mic. Recording without audio always works.
Home → AudioInternal audio (Android 10+)
Captures the sound other apps play. Some apps block this on purpose and Android enforces it. AIRec shows a clear message when an app is blocking its sound, and you can add your microphone instead.
Home → AudioVolume controls
Set the microphone volume and the internal audio volume separately, so your voice and the music or game sound are balanced.
Settings → AudioSmart ducking
While you speak, AIRec turns the internal audio down clearly, then brings it back when you stop. Your voice stays on top without touching a slider.
Settings → AudioEcho cancellation
When the phone plays sound, your microphone also hears it from the speaker. Echo cancellation removes that copy from your voice track so sound is not recorded twice (Android 10+).
Settings → Microphone enhancementAudio sync adjustment
If the voice is a little early or late in a video, delay or advance the audio by up to half a second. Positive values delay the audio.
Settings → AudioAI voice enhancement
Make your voice clear even when the room is not quiet. Everything runs on your phone.
Noise reduction: Off, Standard, Strong, AI
Standard removes steady noise such as fans, traffic and hiss while you record. Strong is for noisy rooms. AI cleans your voice with an AI model after you stop recording. It also reduces crying, animals, horns, bells, knocking and sudden bangs. Saving takes longer in AI mode.
Settings → Microphone enhancementVoice enhancement: Natural, Clear, Studio
Natural keeps your voice as it is and evens out the level. Clear adds presence. Studio gives a fuller, louder broadcast sound.
Settings → Microphone enhancementTest microphone
Record 10 seconds and play it back with and without enhancement. AIRec also shows how many decibels quieter the background became, so you can choose the right level before a long recording.
Settings → Audio → Test microphoneSafe by design
If the AI step cannot finish for any reason, AIRec keeps the audio that was recorded live, so you never lose a recording.
Honest limit: a person talking as loudly as you cannot be separated from your voice. Move the phone closer to you and away from other people for the best result.
Floating ball, drawing and screenshots
Control a recording from any screen without opening the app.
Floating ball
Tap the ball to open its menu. While recording it shows the timer with Pause, Stop, Draw and Screenshot. When you are not recording it offers Record, Screenshot, Draw, Home and Exit. Drag it anywhere, or drag it onto the X to hide it until the next recording.
Settings → Floating ballBall settings
Change the ball size and transparency, auto-hide it while recording, show it only when a recording starts or always, and use the accidental-touch lock so the first touch only wakes a hidden ball.
Settings → Floating ballDraw on screen
Annotate while you record with a pen, a smart-shape pen that neatens your shapes, a highlighter, a box, a circle, an arrow and a line.
Floating ball → DrawScreenshots
Take a screenshot from the ball or notification. Screenshots are saved to your gallery and can show a preview notification.
Floating ball → ScreenshotShake to stop
Shake your phone to stop and save a recording, handy when the screen is busy or covered by a game.
Settings → ControlsShow touches
Shows a dot where you touch, so viewers can follow your taps. It needs the “Modify system settings” permission and is switched back off after recording.
Settings → ControlsNotification and Quick Settings tile
Stop or pause from the notification Android requires during recording, or start a recording from the Quick Settings tile.
Saved window, library and player
Your recordings are easy to find, play, share and clean up.
Saved-recording window
When you stop, a window appears over whatever app you are in. It shows the saving progress and then Play, Share, Edit and Delete (with a confirmation). It also shows a one-line performance summary.
Progress you can trust
Saving shows a percentage in the record button, in the notification and in the window, so you always know the app is working.
Library
Videos and Screenshots tabs with thumbnails, size and length. Open the menu of an item to play, share, rename, edit, see details or move it to the trash.
LibraryTrash with restore
Deleted items can be restored for 30 days (Android 11 or newer).
Library → TrashBuilt-in player
Play your recordings right away without leaving AIRec.
Where files go
Videos are saved in Movies and screenshots in Pictures, inside a folder named AIRec that you can rename. Extracted audio goes to Music/AIRec.
Settings → StorageBuilt-in editor
Seven tools for quick fixes. Edits never change your original; the result is saved as a new file.
Trim
Keep only the part you need.
Cut middle
Remove a section from the middle of a video.
Smart silence removal
Finds long pauses and cuts them. It works offline on your phone and tells you how much silence was removed.
Speed (video only)
Slow motion or fast forward. The audio is removed in this mode.
Merge
Join two recordings that were made with the same settings.
Remove audio
Save a silent copy of a video.
Extract audio
Save the sound of a recording as an .m4a file in Music/AIRec.
Performance report
See what a recording cost your phone. It is measured, not guessed.
Frame rate
Counted from the finished video: the average, the lowest seconds and how many seconds were smooth. A still screen is not counted as a problem.
Temperature and heat
Battery temperature from the start to the end of the recording, plus Android’s own heat level (cool, warm, hot, very hot).
Battery used
Battery percentage at the start and the end and, where your phone reports it, the charge used in mAh.
Phone load
How much processing and memory AIRec itself used. Android does not allow apps to read the GPU or whole-phone CPU load, so the report says so instead of guessing.
Tips
Short, practical advice such as trying 30 fps if the phone got hot. The report keeps your last 30 recordings.
Settings → Performance reportReliability and privacy
Built so that a long recording is not lost and your data stays yours.
Setup and health
One screen checks microphone, notifications, floating ball permission, battery optimization, internal audio support, the video encoder and free storage, and helps you fix anything that is missing.
Settings → ReliabilityStorage guard
Warns you when space runs low and stops safely before the phone is full, so the video is saved instead of corrupted.
Recovery
If a recording is interrupted by a crash, a restart or an empty battery, AIRec finds it and saves what was recorded.
Settings → Reliability → Recover unfinished recordingsPrivate by design
No internet permission, no ads, no tracking, no account and no watermark. Diagnostic information is only created when you ask, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Appearance
Light, dark or follow your phone.
